58 Tolastadh bho Thuath
58 North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1857. The first tenant was Donald Macleod from 36 North Tolsta. His daughter, Gormelia went on to become a cottar on the croft and in due course 58 North Tolsta passed to their eldest son, John.
John Macleod never married and 58 North Tolsta passed to Norman Maciver of 11 North Tolsta. In 1895 he inherited 11 North Tolsta and the family moved there. 58 North Tolsta passed to his brother-in-law, Malcolm Macleod, a cotter at 11 North Tolsta.
Malcolm Macleod was a cottar at 11 North Tolsta and in due course 58 North Tolsta passed to his son, Murdo.
Murdo Macleod's son Malcolm Donald settled on a feued off section of 58 North Tolsta known as Feu: 58 North Tolsta. In due course 58 North Tolsta passed to their youngest son.
Cottars:
Gormelia Macleod married John Macleod, of 53 North Tolsta, and the couple settled as cottars at 58 North Tolsta. In 1898 the family moved to Stornoway.
