61 Tolastadh bho Thuath

61 North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1857. The first occupants were Donald Murray, Isabella Maciver and their children: Isabella and Donald.  The couple went on to have a further seven children: Ann, John, Evander, Margaret, Christina, Margaret, and Murdo. In due course their daughter, Ann became a cottar at 61 North Tolsta and  the croft passed to their youngest son, Murdo

Murdo Murray married Margaret Mackenzie of 48 North Tolsta and they had five children: John, Margaret, Isabella, Annabella, and Joan. In due course 61 North Tolsta passed to Joan.

Joan Murray married Donald Graham of 39 North Tolsta and they had two children: a boy and a girl.
 

Cottars:

Ann Murray married Murdo Macdonald of 1 North Tolsta. The couple settled as cottars at 61 North Tolsta. They had eight children: Isabella, Catherine, Christina, Annie, Donald, Katie Bell, and Katie Bell. None of their children inherited the cottars house.
