Evander (1864-1942) was the son of Donald Murray and Isabella Maciver of 61 North Tolsta.

His mother died in 1880 and his father later married Effie Macleod. 

Evander married Margaret Graham of 58 Coll. The couple settled at 58 Coll and they had no children.
