63 Tolastadh bho Thuath

63 North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1857and the first occupants were Norman Maclean, Catherine Mackay and their children: Joan, Donald and Margaret. The couple had a son, John the year of the move and a daughter, Christina a few years later. In due course their daughter, Margaret became a cottar on the croft, but the croft passed to their youngest son, John.

John Maclean married Margaret Burns and the couple had thirteen children: Catherine, Duncan, Donald, Marjory, Christina, Norman, John, Christina, Alexander, Murdo, Robert, James, and Norman. In due course 63 North Tolsta passed to their son, Robert.

Robert Maclean married Annie Murray and the couple had ten children: five girls and five boys. In due course 63 North Tolsta passed to their son, Alexander.

Alexander Maclean never married and in due course passed 63 North Tolsta to his nephew.

Cottars:
Margaret Maclean married Murdo Macinnes of 6 North Tolsta and the couple had nine children. It is not clear how many of them were born before they moved to 2 Hill Street, North Tolsta.
