93592: Catherine Mackay

Catherine (1820-1875) was the daughter of John Mackay of 14 Borve.

She married Norman Maclean, of North Bragar, but it is not clear where the family initially settled or where their first three children were born.

In 1857 the family obtained 63 North Tolsta, as a newly lotted croft. The couple had a further two children there. In total they had five children: three girls and two boys. In due course their daughter, Margaret, became a cottar on the croft, but it passed to their youngest son: John.
