64 Tolastadh bho Thuath

64 North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1857. The first occupants were John Campbell and Margaret Macinnes. The couple had no children and John was widowed in 1859. He went on to marry Jessie Macinnes and they had six children: Margaret, Jessie, Angus, Colin, Malcolm, and John. In 1878, after she was widowed, Jessie Macinnes moved the family to 8 Lower Sandwick. 64 North Tolsta passed to Donald Mackay.

Donald Mackay was married to Mary Maciver and the couple had a daughter, Annie. Once settled at 64 North Tolsta the couple had a further four children: Kenneth, Isabella, Roderick and Christina. In due course their daughter, Isabella became a cottar on the croft but 64 North Tolsta eventually passed to their youngest son, Roderick.

Roderick Mackay married Margaret Mary Murray of 45 North Tolsta and they had five children: three boys and two girls. In due course 64 North Tolsta passed to their eldest son, Donald.

Donald Mackay married Catherine Maciver and they had five children: two boys and three girls. Their youngest daughter, Kathleen died in her twenties. In due course 64 North Tolsta passed to their second son.

Cottars:
Isabella Mackay married Angus Maciver of 33 North Tolsta, and they had six children: Angus, Donald, Mary, John, Mary, and Agnes. The younger Mary had a son, Angus, who lived with the family. The house passed to their son, Donald.

Donald Maciver married Catherine Maciver of 2 North Tolsta and they had three children: two girls and a boy. At some point they feued off the cottars house from 64 North Tolsta and renamed it 78 North Tolsta.
