103950: 76 North Tolsta
76 Tolastadh bho Thuath;
76 North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1874 and the first occupants were Norman Macinnes, Catherine Morrison and at least the youngest of their eleven children, Marion. The family had previously been living as cottars in Tolsta after being evicted from 5a Glen Tolsta. In 1877 or 1878 the family lost the croft and moved to Stornoway.
76 North Tolsta passed to John Martin. John was married to Isabella Macleod and the couple had already had at least one child prior to obtaining 76 North Tolsta. Once settled at 76 North Tolsta they completed their family of eight children: Ann, Dolina, Christina, Ann, Effie, Norman and Donald. 76 North Tolsta passed to John and Isabella's son-in-law, Murdo Macleod.
Murdo Macleod of 6 North Tolsta married Mary Martin and the couple had eight children: five boys and three girls. 76 North Tolsta passed to Murdo and Mary's youngest son.
