Alexander Maciver and Margaret Morrison were the first occupants of Seaview, Hill Street, North Tolsta. The couple had two children at Seaview: John and Margaret. Alexander was widowed and then married Mary Ann Macleod. At some point between 1913 and 1916  Alexander inherited 14 North Tolsta and the family moved there.

Seaview passed to Murdo Murray, Catherine Murray and their six children: Ann, Marion, Ann, Gormelia, Murdo and Murdina. Catherine was widowed in 1916. In 1939 Catherine's grandson, Murdo Allan was born. He lived at Seaview with his mother Murdina. In due course the house passed to Catherine's eldest daughter, Ann.

Ann Maciver married Alex Dan Mackenzie and the couple had three children: two girls and a boy. Ann's sister Gormelia lived at Seaview during her early marriage to Donald Macleod and the couple had their first child, Donald, there. In due course Seaview passed to Ann and Alex's granddaughter.
