Donald Macleod (1905-1978) lived at 5 Scalpay, but it is not certain he was born there.

Donald married Gormelia Murray, of Seaview, Hill Street, North Tolsta, the couple spent their early marriage at Seaview, North Tolsta and had their first child there.

In 1947 the family obtained Westview, North Tolsta from Lilian Finlayson. The couple had their last two cildren there. In total they had three sons.

In due course Westview passed to their eldest son.
