104243: 21 Old North Tolsta
21 Old North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1832. The first occupants were Alexander Macrae, Christina Martin and their children: George and Neil. It is not certain the couple's son Alexander was still alive by the time of the move. Once settled at 21 Old North Tolsta the couple had at least two more children: Jane and Catherine. Their son Duncan was born in 1841 which was when the family emigrated to Canada and settled in Whitton.
21 Old North Tolsta passed to John Campbell who was married to Jessie Macleod. The couple already had at least three children: Murdo, John and Christine. Their son, Donald, was born the year of the move. Once settled at 21 Old North Tolsta the couple had a further four children: Isabella, Kenneth, Mary and Margaret. In 1851, when Old North Tolsta was cleared to make way for Tolsta Farm, the family obtained 54 North Tolsta.
