7193: 6 Kershader
6 Cearsiadar
The old Gaelic school was located on the croft at 6 Kershader, still known as Tigh Sgoil Beag. The ruins are still evident above the road.
The first tenant of the croft was Murdo Macritchie (1781-1875) Murchadh Nèill and was handed down to a grandson, Donald Macdonald (1843-1924) Dòmhnall Dhòmhnaill Iain, 11 Keose.
6 Kershader was then passed to Donald's son, Angus Macdonald (born 1877) Aonghais Dhòmhnaill Iain and when he moved to Glasgow the croft passed to Roderick Macdonald (1879-1967) Ruaridh Dhòmhnaill Dhòmhnaill.
