Norman (1834-1872) was a son of Duncan Mackay and Isabella Maclennan, 3 Old Shieldinish. His mother died some time after his birth and his father married Isabella Montgomery.
The family moved to 2 Habost in 1842 and later to 11 Kershader. In 1861 Norman is living at 4 Caverstay and working for Roderick Mackinnon.
In Lochs, in 1869, he married Catherine Macritchie, 6 Kershader. Norman and Catherine settled at 6 Kershader and two years later Norman died aged 38.
