Norman (1904-1934) was a son of Norman Maciver and Margaret Macphail, 2 Upper Carloway. He was born months after the death of his father. His mother died three years later and Norman was brought up by his maternal aunt Henrietta Macphail at 35 Upper Carloway.
Norman emigrated to Canada and was killed whilst working in a mine aged 30.
