Norman (born 1831) was a son of Malcolm Macleod and Ann Macleod, 14 Old Leurbost. His father died in 1840 and his mother later obtained 50 Leurbost.
Norman married Jessie Maciver, 1 Lochganvich. Norman and Jessie were cottars at 50 Leurbost and they had three children.
