Mairead Iain Ghilleasbuig Ghobha

Margaret (1825-1917) was the daughter of John Morrison and Flora Paterson of old Borve. The site of their home was later known as Tobhta Fhionnghala ni' Shomhairle.

Margaret married Malcolm MacCusbic, with whom she was to have four children. Malcolm was a tenant in old Borve, with a farm of 6 acres. However, in 1854 the tenants in Borve were cleared from their land in order to make way for Borve Farm.

Margaret and her husband joined his older brother and her widowed mother in emigrating to Australia, leaving Plymouth on the HMS Royal Albert on 15th August 1855. They made their home in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
