John (1906-1969) was a son of Murdo Thomson and Catherine Gunn, 2 Skigersta, Ness. He had the thumb of his left hand missing.
He emigrated to Canada and on 3rd April 1933 he entered the United States of America at Detroit, Michigan and lived in New York City.
In 1937, John married Johanna Macarthur formerly of 20 Cromore. John and Johanna lived at 69 40, 44th Avenue, Woodside, Queens, New York and they had a son.
