Jessie Flora was a daughter of John Murdo Mackenzie and Mary Macleod from 9 Grimshader.

She married Dr Donald R Macaulay, Stornoway and formerly of 9 Crossbost. The couple settled in Stornoway and they had two children. The croft at 9 Crossbost was passed to Donald. The family may have lived there.
