Mary (1833-1914) was a daughter of John Munro and Marion Mackay, 2 Old Eishken.
In 1835 the family moved to her Uncle Duncan's croft at 2 Habost. In 1842 they moved to 2 Old Leurbost, then to 22 Leurbost and in 1856 to 1 Newmarket.
Mary had a daughter, Ann Munro with Alexander Macaulay in 1860. They do not appear with the family in 1851 at Leurbost.
At Stornoway, in 1867, she married Malcolm Mackay, a Royal Artillery Gunner from Ireland and formerly of Uig. Mary was living at with her parents at Benside at the time of her marriage.
Mary and Malcolm settled in Stornoway and they had at least one child.
Mary was widowed in 1900.
