11471: Kenneth Mackenzie

Coinneach Mhurchaidh Dhòmhnaill

Kenneth (1854-1916) was a son of Murdo Mackenzie and Catherine Smith, 1 Habost. He was a fisherman and later became a grocer and  local merchant.

At Stornoway, in 1904, he married Mary Macleod from Barvas. Kenneth and Mary settled at 1 Habost, they had eight children, only four of whom survived. After his death the croft was sold to Alexander Macdonald Alasdair Sheumais 9 Habost.
