Donald (1803-1882) was the son of Donald Macleod and in 1830 the family obtained 6 Old Gearraidh Ghuirm as a newly lotted croft.
He married Catherine Macleod, of Gress Tack. The couple settled at 6 Old Gearraidh Ghuirm and in 1838 they obtained 38 Old Coll as a newly lotted croft. In 1851, during the croft re-lotting, the family obtained 30 Coll. Donald and Catherine had six children.
Donald was widowed in 1868.
