116424: Mary Macleod

Mary (born 1842) was the daughter of Angus Macleod and Margaret Beaton of 19 Old Coll.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 55 Coll.

Mary married Malcolm Mackay, of 19 Back, but it is not clear where the couple initially settled or where their first four children were born.

In 1875 the family obtained 65 Coll, as a newly lotted croft, and the couple had a further three children once settled there. In due course 65 Coll passed to their son, John.
