117052: John Maciver
John Maciver is thought to have lived in Leckmelm, near Ullapool. He came to Lewis as the tacksman of Tolsta Chaolais.
He was the tacksman for Gress Tack from 1726. By 1740 he also had tenancy of Back Tack.
By 1766 the tenancy for Back and Gress Tacks had passed to his son, William.
