Monro mac ean vane Haundy was a tenant in Baile mhic Phail in the first half of the seventeenth century. On one occasion he sent four sheep to graze on the island of Grianam, which belonged to Sir Norman MacLeod. The grieve Gilbride Morrison ordered the sheep killed, then demanded that the carcases be removed. Monro refused, instead demanding compensation from Sir Norman, which was refused.
