109362: Baile Mhic Phail, North Uist

Along with Baile Mhic Conein, which lies to the south, the fifteen crofts in Baile Mhic Phàil were cleared for a farm in 1826, which was later expanded into Newton Farm.

In 1923 Newton Farm was divided into eight crofts. For the purposes of this website, the new crofts, named 1 to 8 Baile Mhic Phàil, have been located within the encompassing area of Newton, of which Baile Mhic Phàil now forms part.
