Iain Mhurchaidh Thormoid

John (born 1842) was the son of Murdo Beaton and Ann Macdonald of Nova Scotia and formerly of 16 Old Vatisker.

On the 24th of October 1867 he married Tryphena Cameron from Quebec. The couple settled in Lingwick, Quebec and they had five children. By 1901 the family were living in Bury, Quebec.
