Murdo (1791-1870) was the son of Malcolm Macdonald and Margaret Stewart of Coll Tacks. In 1807 the family obtained 17 Old Coll.
He married Catherine Stewart of Coll Tacks. Murdo and Catherine settled at 11 Old Coll and they had six children.
Murdo was widowed in 1856.
