Caitriona Sheumais Iain
Catherine (1829-1903) was the daughter of James Thomson and Mary Macaulay of 5 old Coll.
She married Alexander Maciver, of 13 Old Coll, and the couple settled at Coll Farm as servants. They had nine children.
In the 1860s the moved to 25 Aird Tong. The family then became cottars in Aird Tong for some years before eventually obtained 33 Aird Tong.
In due course 33 Aird Tong passed to their son James.
