Donald Maclennan (1825-1893) was a son of Donald Maclennan and Mary Macaskill of 7 Buanish. The village was cleared in 1826 and the family were removed to 7 Tong.
His is the first name in the Tong Baptism Register. His fathers name appears on the, 1829, Tong rental list and by then the family were settled at 7 Tong.
Donald married Margaret Mackenzie, of 7 Aird Tong, and the couple settled at 7 Tong and had at least one child.
In due course 7 Tong passed to their son, Donald.
