118976: John Maciver

Iain Dhomhnaill Mhurchaidh

John (1827-1892) was the son of Donald Maciver and Mary Macleod. By 1830 the family were settled at 23 Old Coll.

In 1851, the crofts were re-lotted and the family obtained 46 Coll. Around the same time John obtained 34 Back.

John married Ann Macdonald of 27 Coll. The couple settled at 34 Back and they had nine children only four of whom survived childhood.
