Calum Choinnich Chaluim

Malcolm (1848-1907) was the son of Kenneth Macleod and Mary Smith of 53 Balallan. His father died and in 1851 his mother married twice widowed, Alexander Macleod, 13 Ranish. Alexander and Mary had two children Mary and Kenneth.

His mother died in 1855 and Malcolm went to live with his maternal grandmother, Mrs Margaret Leod nee Maciver at 29 Balallan.

Malcolm moved to Glasgow and worked on the quayside on the River Clyde. In Glasgow,  in 1872, he married Jane Muir or Sellars or Agnew from Ireland. Malcolm and Jane lived at South Wellington Street, Hutchesontown, Glasgow and they had four children.

Malcolm was widowed in 1883 and at Gorbals, Glasgow, in 1884, he married Margaret Campbell from Campsie, Stirlingshire. Malcolm and Margaret lived at South Wellington Street and they had four children.

Malcolm died by drowning in the River Clyde, aged 58. He is buried in the Eastern Necropolis, Glasgow.
