George William Thow (1885-1971) was a son of Andrew Thow and Williamina Glen, Balaclutha, Otago, New Zealand. His parents emigrated from Forforshire in Scotland.
He was a Gardener living in Hastings in 1911 when he married Mary Macleod, Hastings and formerly of 48 Leurbost, George and Mary had at least four children and seem to have moved between North Island and South Island.
George was widowed in 1962 and he and Mary are buried at Mangere Lawn Cemetery, Auckland.
