Maria Ann (1928-1998) was a daughter of Norman Matheson and Anni Macrae, Glasgow. She was the granddaughter of John Matheson, 25 Gravir. 

At Hillhead, in 1950, she married Donald Campbell, Glasgow and formerly of 13 Gravir. Maria Ann and Donald settled in Glasgow and they had a family.

The croft at 9 Gravir was passed to Donald and after his death in 1976 Maria bought the croft from the Estate.
