Mary (1852-1928) was a daughter of Alexander Mackay and Catherine MacCorrisker, a Scottish Mètis family from Poplar Point, Assiniboine, Manitoba.
At Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, in 1875, she married Alexander Campbell formerly of Baile Griais, North Dell. In 1877 Mary and Alexander successfully homesteaded at Red Deer Hill area where they raised and home-schooled their nine children. The family later moved to Prince Albert.
Mary was widowed in 1925.
