Euphemia (1867-1916) was a daughter of John Smith and Mary Macleod, Ullapool. Her parents were from Valtos, Uig on the Isle of Lewis.

In 1871 the family moved to Strathcanaird and in 1879 returned to Lewis and lived at Lochcroistean. In 1890 the family moved to Stornoway.

Euphemia married and settled in Stornoway.
