Norman (1840-1888) was a son of Donald Macaulay and Margaret Macdonald, Breaclete, Great Bernera.

In 1855 the family emigrated to Canada and settled in Southampton, Bruce County, Ontario.

He married Annie Macaulay from Ontario and they had a family.
