Iain Chaluim

John (1822-1901) was a son of Malcolm MacRitchie and Ann MacAulay, 49 Swainbost. He married Mary Matheson, 2 Geshader, in 1852. They settled at 33 Swainbost.

They had nine children. Angus was brought up by his grandmother at 8 Carishader.

John was widowed in 1896.
