Roderick (born 1888) was a son of Roderick Macrae and Mary Macleod, 6 Habost.
He served in the Seaforth Highlanders in the First World War and was wounded three times. Roderick's name is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-18.
He was living at 57 Copeland Road, Govan in 1925 when he married Mary Montgomery, 4 Balallan. Roderick and Mary settled at 2 Scotland Street, Stornoway.
