Evander (born 1809) was a son of Norman Maciver and Peggy Macdonald from Pabbay Mor.
He married Henrietta Campbell from Enaclete. They lived at Pabbay Mor and Reef and when Reef was cleared in 1848 they relocated to Deanston, Lochganvich. Evander and Henrietta had nine children.
The family emigrated to Quebec in 1855 and settled in Whitton, Quebec.
The couple are buried at Whitton.
