28586: Robertson Macaulay
After his father’s death Robertson moved to Stornoway where he was brought up by an aunt. After leaving Stornoway he lived for a time in Aberdeen before emigrating to Canada and was soon followed by his mother and the rest of the family. He rose to the position of head of the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada. On May 13, 1914, Robertson laid a block of granite at Dorchester Square that became the cornerstone of the Sun Life Building.
