Mary (1873-1927) was a daughter of Roderick Martin and Mary Morrison, 21b Balallan. The family moved to Crobeg Farm in the late 1870s.
In 1891 she was living with her brother, Malcolm at 13 Orinsayl and in 1906 she was living at with her sister, Julia and her husband, William at Sandwickhill Schoolhouse.
In Glasgow, in 1906, she married John Montgomery, 50 Balallan. Mary and John resided at Ardentinny, Argyllshire and later emigrated to South America in 1911. They settled in Patagonia and they had at least one child.
