Malcolm (1866-1923) was a son of Roderick Martin and Mary Morrison, 21b Balallan. In the late 1870s the moved to Crobeg Farm.
In 1891 Malcolm was the farm manager at Orinsay which was part of Crobeg Farm. Eighteen landless men from Crossbost unsuccessfully land raided Orinsay in 1891 and the Martin family continued to live there.
Malcolm's sister, Julia was his housekeeper at 13 Orinsay and his sister, Mary also lived there.
At Stornoway, in 1905, he married Catherine Kennedy, 33 Lemreway. Malcolm and Catherine lived at 13 Orinsay until the death of his father in 1907 when they moved to Crobeg Farm. The couple had four children.
Malcolm's family were the last residents at Crobeg Farm and they moved to 76 Balallan.
