Julia (1871-1947) was a daughter of Roderick Martin and Mary Morrison, 21b Balallan. In the late 1870s the family moved to Crobeg Farm.
In 1891 she was housekeeper for her brother Malcolm at 13 Orinsay and in 1896 she was a nurse living with her brother, Donald and his wife at Holm Farm, Stornoway when she married William Fraser Headmaster of Sandwickhill School. Julia and William settled at Sandwickhill Schoolhouse and they had ten children. When William retired they moved to The Old House, 4 Lewis Street, Stornoway.
Julia became a Town Councillor and a Justice of the Peace and is buried in Sandwick Cemetery.
