Mary (born 1848) was the daughter of Donald Macleod and Effie Ferguson of 32 Old Back. The family obtained 14 Back and in 1855 they emigrated to Canada and settled at Quebec.
In 1868 Mary married Malcolm Smith and they settled in Compton County. They had a family.
