Murdo John (1905-1996) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Catherine Morrison, 14 Balallan.
Murdo John graduated from Glasgow University and qualified as a teacher. He emigrated to Canada in 1929 and married Adele Macdonald, a grand-daughter of Murdo Macdonald. Murdo John served as a lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Artillery and then worked for British Security in Canada, the United States of America and south America, and subsequently for the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada. He retired in Montreal.
