Finlay (1915-1992) was a son of Finlay Smith and Isabella Macleod, 15 Cromore. His mother died in 1916 and in 1919 his father married Mary Macleod, 24 Cromore.
At Hillhead, in 1953, he married Mary Macleod, 21 Cromore. Finlay and Mary settled at 21 Cromore and they had three children.
