Betsy (born 1899) was a daughter of Murdo Macdonald and Catherine Macleod, 19b Cromore.

She emigrated to Canada in 1924 on the SS Canada bound for Quebec. Her emigration papers said that she travelled alone, was 5ft tall with fair hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.

In 1930 she emigrated to the United States of America, her sponsor was Christina Macleod, 620 Park Avenue, New York, formerly of 24 Cromore, who had emigrated some time before Betsy. 

In New York, in 1932, she married Wallace Woods formerly of Ayr. Betsy and Wallace lived at 4820, 46th Street, Woodside, Queens, New York and they had at least one child.
