Donald (born 1855) was a son of Angus Macdonald and Catherine Smith, 23 Cromore. His father died in 1871 and in 1881 he is the Head of House.
In Lochs, in 1884, he married Mary Macmillan, 6 Crossbost. Donald and Mary settled in Stornoway.
Donald was widowed in 1886 and in Stornoway in 1889 he married Effie Macmillan, 17 Crossbost. Donald and Effie had at least one child.
