Alexander Donald (1920-1978) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Margaret Maclennan, 58 Greenfield Street, Govan, Glasgow. In 1921, aged six months, he and his mother were visiting the maternal croft at 18 Marvig. In 1822 the family moved to 73 Elderpark Street, Govan and they later returned to Lewis and settled at 23 Cromore.
Alexander Donald moved to Broughty Ferry near Dundee.
