Catherine (1811-1889) was a daughter of John Macdonald and Margaret Mackenzie, 7 Garyvard.
In Lochs, in 1833, she married John Macleod, 7 Old Orinsay. Catherine and John settled at 7 Old Orinsay where five of their eleven children were born.
Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 48 Leurbost.
Catherine was widowed in 1881.
