Seumas Chaluim Sheumais

James (1832-1877) was a son of Malcolm Montgomery and Jane Macleod, 4 Old Eishken.

The family moved to 23 Cromore in 1835. In 1841 James, his mother and brother, Angus were living with his aunt Marion at 34 Balallan.

James was a Private with the 93rd Highlanders and settled in India where he married Matilda Smith in 1871.
